FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: I have registered but have not received any emails about accessing the Workshop.
A: Check your email spam/junk folders and set wgw@whidbeygardening.org as an approved address. If you still have problems, contact registrar@whidbeygardening.org.
Q. What does live-stream mean and what classes are included?
A. We will be live-streaming the keynote presentation, all themed sessions, and 6 focused class instructors from their classrooms at Oak Harbor High School for online viewers to experience at the same time as our onsite attendees. The Class Schedule indicates which classes are live-streamed. Live-stream Only tickets give the online viewer access to these presentations at the same time they are given and as recordings following the Workshop.
Q. Will any of the sessions be recorded and available for viewing later?
A: All live-streamed classes, themed sessions, and the keynote presentation will be recorded and available for viewing later online by purchasing the Workshop Package or Live-stream Only tickets. Access to recordings will be from March 5 – 26. Recordings cannot be downloaded.
Q: What time does the Workshop begin?
A: Our Keynote Speaker presentation begins at 8:30 am on Saturday.
Doors open at 7:45 am. Arrive early to be seated.
All class start times are listed on the Class Schedule page under Education tab. Classrooms open 10 minutes before the start time.
Q: Can I purchase a Practical Session ticket without registering for other Workshop classes?
A: During Early Bird Registration from January 15 to 22, Practical Sessions are only available to those purchasing a ticket for the Workshop. After January 22, Practical Session tickets may be purchased by those not attending Workshop classes. Space is limited.
Q: Can I buy tickets for a friend and myself in one transaction?
A: You need to purchase each attendee’s ticket separately. When buying a ticket for someone else, be sure to enter that person's name in the area titled "If not you, give attendee name and email" during the checkout process. Each ticket is identified by the attendee’s name and is used at check-in for the on-site classes and practical sessions when checking out. For Live-stream Only tickets, an email address verifies each online attendee.
Q: Safety Regulations – COVID and other respiratory illnesses
A: Whidbey Gardening Workshop will follow Washington State and CDC guidance for COVID safety. The CDC strongly recommends masks for indoor gatherings, particularly for at-risk groups. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the workshop. Please follow CDC guidance for quarantining if you test positive for COVID or flu.
