Water and Waste
Oak Harbor High School requires that we not have any open containers for water or coffee. You can help by bringing closed containers for your beverages. If you forget to bring your own, closed containers are available to purchase in our Bookstore. Only water is allowed in classrooms. Please report any spills to one of our volunteers.
Whidbey Gardening Workshop will have waste disposal containers for discarding your trash. Thank you for using them.
Lost and Found
If you lose or find an item, go to the Lost and Found table located at Package Storage in the Marketplace. They can also take your contact info and notify you if your item is found after the workshop closes.
Whidbey Gardening Workshop aims to be accessible to all who want to attend our event. When you register, please let us know if you have special needs. We will provide closer seating, wheelchair access, and other accommodations when we can. However, if accommodation is not requested in advance, we cannot guarantee the availability of accommodation on site.
If you have questions, please message us via the Contact Us .
Persons with a disability requiring special accommodations while participating in this program may also contact WSU Island County Extension at (360) 639-6060.
As a registered attendee, instructor or vendor you may use the free parking at the school. All attendees, instructors and vendors will receive maps outlining where their parking area is located. If you have questions about parking, go to the Contact Us form.
Master Gardeners volunteers will be wearing green aprons and are available to answer general questions. You will also see Master Gardener volunteers with “Ask Me” buttons. If you have questions, need directions, or have a problem of any kind, flag down one of these individuals. They are there specifically to help you.
Coffee and baked goods will be available in the Gardening Marketplace in collaboration with the Island County 4H organization. A box lunch at the Workshop is available for pre-purchase as part of the registration process.
Your Marketplace purchases can be stored while you attend classes saving extra trips to your car. Just drop off your purchases at the Package Storage table and it will be held for you until you pick it up. Coats may also be stored while you attend the workshop, although hangers may not be available.
